How is your work taking transportation into tomorrow? 

Me and my team are helping to shape of the future of today, by attracted diverse talent into our growing transportation business.

It is such an exciting time for our transportation business as we are playing lead roles in projects such as high-speed rail, digital rail, designing major new road & highways schemes. All of which will benefit the end user.

What inspired you to become a Recruiter?

I have always had a passion for recruitment and working/talking with people all day long comes very natural to me, so really, it’s a great fit for my personality, especially at Atkins.

Though the importance of hiring the ‘right person, at the right time’, has become so significant, more than ever before. Especially as the people you hire can make or break your business.

Therefore, whether it be hiring apprentices, graduates or experienced professionals, working in an environment where you can truly add value to the overall success of your business gives me the inspiration to become a recruitment professional.

Why do you choose to stay at Atkins?  

Diverse and flexible working culture. It might seem an obvious choice, but for me, ATKINS gives me a truly flexible and agile environment to be myself, develop my own capabilities, innovate my own ideas, not to be afraid to challenge other area me, to work with some great people and most importantly, it gives me a great work and life balance, especially being a new ‘dad’.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?  

Honestly each day is different and that is a testament to the range of diverse challenges I face in a growing organisation. Plus, I get to truly influence and shape key decisions on how we hire talent into the organisation.
