Role
To provide mature industry knowledge, technical and professional skills and support to specific projects as assigned. A Senior Consultant may also act as a Job Captain on specific projects.
 

Reports to
The Team Leader for corporate and support matters and Job Captain for each specific project. A Job Captain can be a Director, Associate Director or Peer depending on the complexity and/or sensitivity of a project.

Competencies

  • Prepares complex design and construction and rollout programmes
  • Works on multiple projects with multiple clients
  • Experience in multiple project lifecycle stages (e.g. initiation, planning, execution, close out)
  • Analyses information to provide advice to clients
  • Chairs meetings and workshops
  • Experience with several disciplines - scope, time, cost, quality, risk, procurement, communications and resource management
  • Experience in several areas of a Project Management Methodology
  • People management skills
  • Advanced experience in all Planning and Project Management software used by F+G
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Mentors Consultants and Junior Consultants
  • Demonstrates good team leadership skills
  • Leads a team of at least three people
  • Develops business client base (i.e. Increasing diversity of clients)

Authorities, Responsibilities & Duties

  • Liaise with the client and client's teams as and when required.
  • Responsible for supervision of junior staff working with him/her on specific projects.
  • Responsible for checking all documents issued within a project to ensure factual correctness and acceptable levels of quality are maintained.
  • Ensure that quality procedures are followed and quality standards within the constraints of the commission are maintained.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients and other relevant parties involved in projects so that F+G’s prospects of further commissions will be enhanced.
  • Establish and maintain contacts at appropriate levels with providers of services that supplement or complement those of F+G, and to actively contribute to F+G marketing efforts.
  • Participate in and actively support the on-going staff training programme.
  • Promote appropriate research and development.
  • Contribute towards promotion of a high company image in its field.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professional ethics.
  • Provide the technical and professional skill, knowledge and support to the specific project as assigned
