Senior Construction Manager

Our San Francisco team is growing! If you want to be a part of a successful global organization and have at least 10 years of experience as a Construction Manager on large Construction projects, we would like to connect with you.  We are looking for Construction Managers who under general direction, provides direction in all conventional and unconventional aspects of construction engineering to manage project construction observation and documentation activities
This position is located at a premiere Biotech client site in South San Francisco, CA.

-Performs non-manual field work that involves a combination of conventional and complex features, requiring the application of sound and diversified professional knowledge in board areas of assignments, usually including the coordination of various projects
-Monitoring contractors' substantial compliance with contract, plans, specifications and special provisions and determining project quality, cost, and adherence to established completion schedule.
-Plans, organizes, and directs activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
-Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
-Assists with project delivery strategies.
-Schedules the project in logical steps and budgets time required to meet deadlines.
-Manages the project procurement, selection of contractors and assists with contract paperwork and management of changes.
-Manages QA/QC quality control plans.
-Manages safety management plans.
-Manages the building permit process and compliance with codes.
-Directs weekly construction meetings.
-Prepares daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
-Reviews contractor applications for payment and recommends payment to client.
-Creates and monitors cost reports for the client.
-Manages punch list preparation and project close-out.
-Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
NOTE: Incumbents do not supervise any contractor's
activities and are not responsible for job site safety
-Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil engineering, or related field and ten years related experience OR associate‘s degree and 18  years’ of experience in lieu of a degree. Without a degree, twenty years related experience is required
-10 years’ relevant experience with personnel supervision
-Must have state construction supervisor’s license, 30-hour training in OSHA safety requirements, and CMAA.
-Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision making abilities.  Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
-Leadership and managerial skills; analytical and organization skills; ability to supervise field representatives and field office personnel
-Must have ability to navigate Web-based construction management software (often provided by the client). 
-Must have experience with setting meetings, organizing agendas, and keeping minutes for projects records.
-Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project. 
-Working knowledge of industry standard software, including but not limited to SAP, Skire, VersaPro, etc. and ERP, Planning & Scheduling, and cost management applications. Experience with Primavera or Microsoft Projects is preferred.
