Our Washington DC team is growing! This role will be responsible for

acting as the first point of contact for clients and employees. Greets visitors to office and directs them to appropriate individual; answers incoming calls on telephone console. Handles security clearance for employees and visitors. 

This position is located in Alexandria, VA, USA.

-Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, and directs them to the proper person. Directs all calls to appropriate personnel.


-Opens the front desk/phones daily at time designated by supervisor. Responds to all calls and guests in a professional and courteous manner. Answers questions about the company and its services.


-Provides administrative support to office staff including: office filing; faxing documents; data entry; scheduling meetings for office staff as needed. Takes initiative on requests and inquiries of administrative nature.

-Provides administrative support to senior management related to arranging business travel and preparing expense reports and other related documents as needed.

-Develops and maintains an up to date front desk procedure manual.

-Maintains appropriate level of supplies in the kitchen and supply room.

-Maintains front desk/reception area, conference rooms and other public space to ensure a neat and professional image.

-Sorts and distributes mail and express packages. Prepares and sends out mail and express packages. Keeps the log of all incoming and outgoing packages.

-Obtains a project number to charge before sending a package out either express or messenger and marking it either reimbursable or non-reimbursable to a project.

-Manages conference room booking and meeting preparation to include equipment, document and food and beverage needs.

-Manages use of all office equipment to include copiers, faxes, phone system, etc., as needed and with the assistance of IS.

-Performs such other assignments as the Supervisor may deem necessary from time to time



-High school diploma (or equivalent) plus three-years related experience is required.

-Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and good decision-making abilities. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.

-Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
