Faithful+Gould is one of the world’s leading project and cost management consultancies. Due to our continuing success in delivering commercial and cost management services to high profile clients, we are expanding our Aberdeen Office and seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in delivering core quantity surveying capabilities across a variety of sectors.

The role will involve working within our commercial services team; responsible for delivering minor and major projects for multiple clients across the public, residential, pharmaceutical and oil and gas sectors. Role Requirements:
 

  • Chartered (can be APM)/Non-Chartered QS with considerable experience post degree.
  • Ambition drive and enthusiasm
  • Aberdeen based
  • Full-time role
  • Desirable to have NEC and Industry sector experience but not essential
  • Full clean drivers’ licence
  • Deliver core, pre and post contract, quantity surveying services across a range of projects for different clients.
  • Have knowledge and experience of using measurement software, e.g. CostX, CATO.
  • Be a competent user of Excel based systems
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients.
  • Excellent client facing and communications skills
  • Demonstrate an appreciation of general market conditions and costs/rates.
  • Work to tight deadlines in a flexible and collaborative manner.
  • Be a proactive team member
  • Experience of project delivery including internal budgetary control and particularly of working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Basic understanding of Risk/VE processes
  • Strong understanding of standard forms of contract, particularly SBCC JCT and NEC
  • Ability to produce/contribute to financial and commercial reports
