Project Management Office Assistant will be responsible for activities including:

  • Sufficient and appropriate experience in providing administration assistance at a similar level
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and a strong awareness of IT technology available
  • Ability to learn and use other in-house IT systems
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to deal effectively with people at all levels including a professional telephone manner
  • The ability to make decisions and use initiative
  • Well organised and self-motivated, ability to multi-task with a methodical approach to day to day activities
  • Ability to manage a fluctuating workload and maintain a calm disposition at times when working under pressure
  • A positive and team orientated outlook
  • Ability to lead by example and share best practice with peers
  • Keen to learn and continue developing
  • You will be able to deal with a wide range of people within the company and externally
  • Working to deadlines
  • Secretarial and administrative support to the Project Team as required
  • Organising travel as required
  • Organisation and support at client and staff functions
  • Preparation and production of reports, statistics and other information for the Delivery Director as required
  • Attending meetings as required including recording and distribution of minutes
  • Responding to confidential communication with internal and external clients
  • Providing a professional telephone service and discreet screening on behalf of the Project Team
  • Directing business queries to appropriate teams by having an in depth understanding of local business activities
  • Representing the Project Team with various external companies
  • Support as and when required for other related teams, i.e. overflow situations or holiday cover


  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills both verbal and written
  • A hard working and flexible individual, with a willingness to learn, who is a team player, possesses a good attention to detail, is reliable, proactive and shows initiative whilst able to keep cool under pressure and when working to often demanding deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a larger multi-discipline team
  • A high expectation of performance for themselves and other members of the team
  • Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with clients and team members alike
  • Whilst this role involves no direct people management, we do expect the successful candidate to lead by example and become a figure of best practice. Other duties may include greeting visitors, providing typing and secretarial support, email management, filing and project administrative duties as required.
