Procurement Support Specialist
Our Oregon team is growing! If you want to be a part of a successful global organization and have an interest in growing your career in an exciting field, we would like to speak with you! The Procurement support specialist is responsible for providing support to Faithful+Gould's project managers, tracking correspondence, updating the procurement status on a weekly basis, supporting RFP's, and assisting in the preparation of contracts. This is a full time, junior level role with robust benefits. This position is located at our premier client site located in Portland, OR. Local candidates only please.

-Working with the Procurement Manager on identifying specific needs
-Utilize schedules to meet bid negotiation milestones
-Maintain all formal project correspondence and draft correspondence to prevent claims/disputes
-Update the procurement status on a weekly basis and provide weekly updates to senior leadership
-Researching and negotiating with potential contractors
-Assist in developing and implementing contracting strategies
-Understands GMP, Lump Sum, NTE and other construction industry standard contract types (standard construction industry T&Cs)
-Support the creation of RFP bid documents
-Contacts contractors for timely submittal of proposals
-Possesses the skills for tabulating proposals and assists in performing proposal analysis
-Prepares evaluation of contractors’ capabilities and Requests for Proposals
-Evaluates facts surrounding problem areas, enlists the advice and assistance of others, determines the most appropriate remedial actions, and implements corrective actions through available means
-Assists in contacting contractors for clarifications
-Assist in the preparation of contracts

Minimum Requirements
- High-integrity - must be highly ethical and strong value-based individual focused on fairness and maintaining confidentiality
-The successful candidate will have a “sence of urgency” to issue resolution. Time is of the essence in procurement and construction and the successful candidate will need to be able to determine the important must do tasks and sort deliverables to provide the greatest impact.
-The successful candidate will be able to present and communicate complex processes and topics in a simplistic manner.
-Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills that can interact with diverse groups across organizational levels.
-Take initiative to ask questions and “brainstorm” with the team; must be able to seek clarification on processes and apply his/her own professional knowledge to the situation.
-Fast learning curve – able to pick up new company processes/procedures/templates quickly.
-Working knowledge of PC software packages (Word, Excel, Adobe Professional and Power Point) typically associated with procurement
