Faithful+Gould is currently looking for an experienced Document Controller to form part of our project team based in Doha.


  • To support the head office management  team in day to day duties throughout the project lifecycle from inception to completion including:
  • Maintaining a record of controlled documents on distribution;
  • Maintenance of computerized databases;
  • Recording of incoming / outgoing correspondence and design documentation;
  • Use of databases to find design drawings;
  • Produce requests for design drawings and monitor receipt of drawings;
  • Control of drawings: checking in, quality check, transfers and return to client;
  • Return of all design hand-back documentation to client;
  • Production of Issue sets of design;
  • Carry out quality checks of drawings produced;
  • Create and maintain Project Document Control Files;
  • Creation and management of trackers / registers for design deliverables;
  • Provide support to the bid management team.

  • Minimum of 6 years Document Control/Managemnt experience on major building projects (e.g. mixed-use/high rise/hotels/mega development projects);
  • Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi functional projects;
  • Capable of reviewing existing operations within an organisation through all the project phases (processes and procedures in both office and site), assessing both the strengths and weaknesses and assisting in compiling a bespoke set of process and procedures of all of the activities including but not limited to quality, progress, commercial matters, value, safety, design and construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of project controls procedures.
  • A “rounded profile”, comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations. The successful candidate will also be able to mobilise people and teams and drive for a successful delivery.
  • Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.
  • Act as administrator for document control software – Aconex.
  • Other duties as requested from time to time


  • Degree qualified: Bachelor Degree or equivalent in a related field;
  • Professional membership preferred;
  • Must be able to communicate confidently in both written and spoken English.
  • Arabic translation advantageous but not essential
  • High level of computer literacy, especially in Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with ISO9000 quality requirements.
