Job description – Bid and Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Bid and Marketing Manager for our Central region, based in our Leeds office. This role will support the Central region business in primarily managing and delivering bids, but also providing marketing support. The role will report to the Regional Bid and Marketing lead.

This is an excellent development opportunity for a candidate who is experienced in bidding and looking for more responsibility in managing submissions and coordinating all elements of the bidding process, working with senior directors and key account managers in the region. In addition, you’ll be able to provide marketing support on written and digital communications, key account management, event support and business development. Strong communication and project management/organisational skills are essential as is the ability to work autonomously at times and manage your own workload.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage strategically significant bids, managing the bid tam across the region and potentially outside of the region
• Management of bid process - reviewing bid notices, preparing bid plans, tracking wins and losses and producing a report
• Manage elements of the bidding process from collecting and maintaining up-to-date experience and project images, exemplar answers, client references and testimonials to co-ordinating win/launch sessions, producing best practice responses and maintaining oversight of all bid related activity
• Prepare bid documentation such as pre-qualification and tender documents, presentation material and collate technical input
• Support and identify the creation of new bid materials, in particular bid style, templates and visuals, as well as marketing materials (i.e. capability statements and award submissions)
• Coordinate and write news and features for internal and external publication
• Undertake sector, client and other general market research
• Respond to ad-hoc marketing queries and requests for information
• Support with the organisation and management of seminars, exhibitions and events
• Assist with CRM updates
• Contribute to the building of the Faithful+Gould brand, and helping to champion and police the brand and act as front line for enquiries on brand guidelines


Requirements:

• University graduate – in a relevant discipline (Marketing or Business)
• CIM Qualification is desirable
• Minimum 2+ years bid management experience
• Excellent proof reading skills and attention to detail
• Ability to travel as the expectation is that the candidate will require to be able to work in each of the regional offices as and when necessary’
• Strong project management skills – ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills – able to deal with people at all levels
• Excellent team working skills
• Previous experience within a professional services environment is desirable
• Understanding and interest in marketing communications
• Adobe InDesign knowledge is desirable
• Excellent computer literacy, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook packages
• Knowledge of CRM is desirable but not essential
