Due to significant growth in our sector, we are looking for an exceptional Associate Director (Commercial & Procurement) to support growth across our Infrastructure project programmes in London/South East and also nationally. These are exciting opportunities to be part of a business with a strong reputation for delivering high quality services and a varied portfolio of clients and projects.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate experience of leading consultancy teams and should possess skills in the following areas:

  • Transportation-orientated Public Sector experience
  • Managing and delivering procurement and commercial consultancy services
  • Embed high quality processes and tools to improve performance
  • Contribute to business development and business growth
  • Ability to lead, inspire and develop a team of talented individuals
  • Experience of delivering exceptional quality service to clients
  • Hold a relevant commercial qualification and be a professional member of a recognised professional institution

Technical Excellence:

  • Strong experience in both pre and post contract management services
  • Provide leadership to the team to promote technical excellence in procurement and contract management
  • Embedding a quality service to reduce costs, increase performance and improve client feedback metrics with the aim to secure repeat business
  • Detailed working knowledge of transport infrastructure market
  • Supporting the development of career paths aligned to technical knowledge and experience.
  • Play a key role in generating repeat business, winning new work and developing new business opportunities


  • Degree qualified - within a construction or business-related discipline
  • MRICS, MCIPS or MCIOB or working towards these qualifications
  • Suitable experience on major capital programmes and complex projects including construction, engineering or systems projects
  • Experienced in procurement delivery
  • Experience of working within the requirements of Public Sector regulations including the Public Contracts Regulations, Utility Regulations and/or Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations
  • Experience of working in a client focused environment - working closely with clients and other consultants
  • Ability to implement commercial policy and advice to client teams
  • Ability to take personal responsibility in dealing with clients and stakeholders while striving to exceed their expectations
  • Ability to manage personal workload and a significant portion of projects in cooperation with line manager
  • Experience in NEC forms of contract
  • Familiarity with a range of different complex delivery models
  • Excellent document drafting and analysis skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influence skills
  • Experience in developing Commercial Governance Procedures, Processes and Systems
  • Tender and Contract Documentation Production
  • Contract Negotiation and Commercial Management
