Due to Faithful+Gould’s continuing success in developing asset management standards and securing consultancy work, we are expanding our headcount. The London office is seeking to recruit an Assistant Consultant to join their Asset Management team. It’s an exciting time to join as you’ll be working on high profile and high value projects across a range of sectors.


We are looking for an Assistant Consultant to join us who will be an experienced and ambitious Facilities Management professional. You will be responsible for developing and delivering all consulting disciplines related to all aspects of FM including:

• Strategic FM reviews
• Contract auditing and compliance
• Performance remediation and improvement
• FM service planning and optimisation
• Specification definition and service procurement
• Operational FM advice

You will play an active part in setting the objectives for this part of the business and you will be responsible for the resulting business plan. You will plan and manage resources, win and deliver successful projects, continually improve our service, collaborate across teams and promote the proposition through structured marketing interventions.

You will be a key positive influence on our collaborative, professional and positive working environment and your industry reputation, network and client rapport will be key factors in you attracting and retaining key client relationships.

• Be educated to at least Degree level in a related and relevant discipline
• Have appropriate industry qualifications and accreditations including being a member/fellow of CIBSE/BIFM/IAM/CIOB/RICS or similar
• Come from a Facilities Management background and have expertise in the operation and management of a wide range of FM services
• Have a good understanding of statutory, mandatory and best practice industry standards for FM service delivery across a number of sectors
• Be able to demonstrate experience and technical excellence in risk management
• Have experience of managing and liaising with FM resources allied with an ability to articulate complex issues in a simple pragmatic manner
• Have operational experience in the disciplines identified
• Be able to develop your own pipeline of opportunities and be able to convert opportunities into secured work
• Be strongly analytical, with the ability to identify, define and articulate client requirements and apply logical thinking to design and present solutions
• Be able to motivate and manage people and teams
• Be a team player - you enjoy collaborative working and create a great framework for teams to work within.
• Clearly understand your own role in fulfilling the wider goals of the business. You are able to “read” situations well, understanding and influencing the dynamics and drivers of relationships with colleagues and clients alike
• Be a strong communicator and be confident in building rapport with external stakeholders across various levels of seniority
• Have the commercial awareness to know the cost of service delivery and how to manage for value
